Business Academy is a cutting-edge, Seta and QCTO Accredited Training Provider with a proactive approach to people and organisational development. It focuses on providing relevant and professional training and coaching interventions based on the demands of the current world of work, and prides itself on the measurable results it produces in the workplace. All qualifications offered on the Business Academy Online Campus are aligned to the QCTO curricula.

### Early Childhood Development Practitioner (NQF Level 4)

For individuals aspiring to become early childhood development (ECD) practitioners or kindergarten teachers; legislation requires that everyone working with young children has a qualification. Participants learn to plan and prepare learning environments and activities, facilitate the daily programme, observe, assess and record each child's progress, compile progress reports, and promote children's well-being, health, nutrition, safety and protection. The qualification covers three learning unit clusters: knowledge, practical and workplace-based learning.

### New Venture Creation (NQF Level 4)

For frontline managers (team leaders, supervisors, foremen, department heads) and entrepreneurs starting their businesses. Covers four domains: self-management, people management, management practices and leadership, taught from a generic perspective so delegates can contextualise the content for their sector.

### Generic Management (NQF Level 4)

A 1-year National Certificate for frontline managers, assessed through a portfolio of evidence based on workplace experience. The twelve modules are: Basic Management Skills; Language in Business; Reading Skills in Business; Writing for Business; The Value of Ergonomics; Leadership; Team Dynamics; Customers & their Value; Occupational Health & Safety Principles; Performance Improvement; Managing Human Capital and Labour Relations; Finance in Business.

Life Skills Coaching is about clarifying values and vision; setting of goals and new direction; determine specific outcomes and setting course for a more satisfying, successful and fulfilling life.

### Relationship Coaching (1hr 30min)

This applies to relationships across the board whether in the family, at work, at school or college, with a partner or colleague. A great deal of our lives is spent navigating through our relationships. Coaching will help you explore the landscape.

### Entrepreneurs Community (1hr 30min)

The objectives of the Entrepreneurs Community is to promote collaboration among entrepreneurs and provide a development platform consisting of coaching, consulting and interactive, practical training.

## Office-in-a-Box

A turn-key admin system that you can plug into any business, no matter the size. During 2021 Business Academy touched the lives of more than 2,600 people in two provinces, thanks to the contribution of its key sponsor, Sanscape. ### Safety @ School

Research has found that the conditions of a learning environment have a direct impact on the performance of the learners. Furthermore, thousands of learners are hurt daily due to unsafe behaviour and conditions at schools. The Safe Schools Programme intends to mitigate the situation.

### Creative Hands

The Programme was first launched in 2021 where some rural primary school learners held a paintbrush for the very first time. The experience and opportunity to create brought them back time and again. Each learner received their own art toolkit to continue their journey of becoming an artist.

### Entrepreneurial Touch

Through the generous investment of our sponsors, the Academy is able to present training and mentoring opportunities to start-up entrepreneurs every year. Our vision is to see this eventually develop into a business incubator that will help fast-track the growth and bring stability to these small businesses.

Dries is driven by excellence and results. He has more than 30 years experience in Management and Leadership development and has a track record of operating successfully at senior levels with clients and organisations. As a Life & Business Coach, he is passionate about establishing entrepreneurs and influencing education in South Africa.

### Johan Heyns, Associate / Legal & HR Specialist

Johan is a legal advisor and practicing advocate. He has more than 20 years’ experience as a human resource and legal practitioner and has vast experience in labour law disputes which include organisational rights, retrenchments, interpretation of collective agreements, unfair labour practice/dismissals, mutual interest disputes and strikes. He has also acted as a Bargaining Council Chairperson and Negotiator.
